June 30 - board plane to Rome
July 1 - Rome - visit the Forum Romanum, Piazza Venezia, and the Colosseum
July 2 - Rome - speak with a priest or nun and learn about life at the Vatican. Visit the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain
July 3 - Assisi, Italy - spend the day visiting the Vatican, visit St Peters Cathedral and the Sistine Chapel. then we go to a chocolate factory in Perugia, where we get to watch how chocolate is made
July 4 - Assisi, Italy - apparently there is nothing fun and exciting to go see, it's just a day packed with adventure and personal growth. lol it's supposed to make us step outside our comfort zone, so this is probably when we repel down a castle wall that they told us about.
July 5 - Montecatini, Italy - go to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower
July 6 - Montecatini, Italy - go to Florence, learn about the history of Florence, go to the Duomo, visit the Baptistery, then to Accademia Gallery where Michelangelo's David is. then we get to make our own food while taking part in a Tuscan cooking course
July 7 - La Spezia, Italy - Cruise along the coast, stopping in Portovenere where we tour the narrow streets and see the 16th century castle overlooking the mediterranean sea, visit Riomaggiore, the southernmost of the five towns. we'll then hike along the Via dell'Amore
July 8 - Cannes, France - visit Monaco, and Fragonard perfume factory in Eze to learn how perfume is made. Then we go bowling this night! and then back to cannes.
July 9 - Guided orientation of Cannes and Nice, aka French Riviera. visit the Promenade des Anglais. and at night we meet our homestay family.
July 10 - spend the day with the family, meet the locals
July 11 - last full day with host family
July 12 - Carcassonne, France - rejoin delegation and visit the 2000 year old Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct, visit the Roman amphitheater, visit Nimes, where the most famous product is denim
July 13 - Carcassonne, France - visit where Robin Hood was filmed
July 14 - Barcelona, Spain - visit Tautavel (which is still in france) then arrive in spain. tour barcelona
July 15 - Barcelona, Spain - visit La Sagrada Familia, which was started in 1882 and isn't finished yet, see Parc Guell, go to the beach Barceloneta, explore Spanish Village, and end the night with flamenco dancing
July 16 - Zaragoza, Spain - visit the Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar. (cathedral)
July 17 - Madrid, Spain - visit Toledo
July 18 - visit El Prado Museum, visit Royal Palace, play soccer with the trainees of the World Famous Real Madrid Soccer Club, have lunch with teh spanish students, go to a spanish bullfarm and see how they are raised, dine at hard rock cafe!!! lol
July 19 - getting on the plane to come home to philly.
